Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rob Adam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bat Slade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam comes into the arena with Grateful Deads- Truckin' blaring out of the sound system. Slade is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Billy Joel - Goodnight Saigon. Bat Slade has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rob Adam's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rob Adam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bat Slade!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adam is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Slade.

Adam moves into range and clinches up with Slade.
Adam with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Adam lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
A short left from Adam.


It looks like Bat Slade has been cut.

Slade decides to pull guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Adam trying to control but Slade is working from the bottom.

Adam drops back looking for a leg! Slade is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Slade manages to kick Adam off! Adam jumps back into Slade's guard.
Adam trying to control the position from guard on top but Slade is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Adam postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Adam keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Slade's head.
Adam pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Slade is keeping the position for now.
Adam has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Slade is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Adam is aware though and is defending well.
Adam trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Adam makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Adam is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Slade avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Slade throwing short punches from the bottom.

Adam stands up from Slade's guard - Adam perhaps looking for a knockout.
Slade fails to land the takedown.

Slade closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Adam did well to prevent Slade getting side control.
Adam gets back to full guard.
Adam has momentary wrist control but Slade slips an elbow through the middle.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Slade got a little sloppy there for a moment and Adam has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Slade has managed to get both his arms back between Adam's legs - danger averted.
Adam wants to sweep here but Slade controlling him for the moment.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Adam is trying to control the position but Slade postures up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Slade is looking to work some ground and pound but Adam has wrist control.
Adam lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Slade!

Adam looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slade manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Adam seems to be looking for submissions.
Adam blocks the strikes from Slade.

Adam is trying for a kimura here. Slade looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Adam wins by kimura!
