The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Thompson. Those never looked like landing.
Phillip Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hosking shoots for a double leg takedown but Thompson sprawls well. He's pushed Hosking's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Thompson throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Hosking crashing down! Hosking tries to stagger back to his feet but Thompson just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Hosking asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
