Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ashon Yates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ashon Yates has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ashon Yates seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

May moves into the clinch successfully.
Yates is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Yates is looking for a takedown up against the cage. May gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Yates stops a takedown attempt from May.
May is trying to break the clinch but Yates is controlling him.

May jumps guard.

Yates drops back looking for a leg! May is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and May manages to kick Yates off! Yates jumps back into May's guard.
May keeping moving, preventing Yates from controlling successfully.

May wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Yates is now in half guard.
Yates seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but May does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

May is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Yates pulls his head out easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if May can do anything to dispel that myth.

Yates in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. May tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Yates!
