Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Begbie looks to score with a jab to the body but Connell is just out of range.
Connell lands with a nice combination. Begbie backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Franko Begbie has been cut.
Begbie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Connell.
Connell throws a right and a left that both miss.
Begbie stalks Connell and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Connell's face. Connell staggers backwards, shaken.
Connell misses with a right hand
and Begbie counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Begbie jabs at Connell's body.
Begbie lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Connell dodges the punch combination from Begbie.
Connell throws a combination that misses
and Begbie counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Connell throws a series of punches but Begbie moves out of range.
Connell looks gassed!
Begbie closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Begbie thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Connell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Begbie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Connell blocking the ground and pound attempt from Begbie.
Connell is defending against the submission attempts here by Begbie.
Begbie is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Begbie is working for a submission of some sort.
Connell is looking to control Begbie's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Connell avoid being mounted?
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Connell is looking for a sweep. Begbie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Begbie looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Connell with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Begbie is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Begbie wants to work for an arm triangle but Connell is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Begbie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Begbie passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Connell!

Begbie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Connell can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Begbie avoids the attempt from Connell to control.
Begbie has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Connell is forced to tap!
