The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hudock lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Honnam tries to work over Hudock's front leg with a kick but Hudock checks it.
Hudock lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Hudock takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Hudock throws a left and a right that both miss
and Honnam counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Honnam throws a head kick but Hudock moves out of range.
Honnam misses the shot to the body.
Nice shot by Hudock.
Hudock lands a nice shot to the body.
Honnam moves out of range of the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Honnam dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hudock. That did some damage!
Hudock connects with a body shot that sends Honnam's belly button to the back.

Honnam defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hudock.

Honnam tries a head kick but it misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Honnam. Hudock does a little dance to reset his feet.

Hudock has hold of Honnam's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Honnam tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hudock cranks the arm and Honnam screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Honnam, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
