The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Severe manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Boyka tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Yuri Boyka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab lands there for Severe.
Boyka could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Severe takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Boyka has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Severe is working away from the top position though.
