Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smajlovic fails with the takedown.
Smajlovic with a poor takedown
enabling Brunner to counter with a crisp jab.
Brunner throws a lazy right hand but Smajlovic sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Brunner fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smajlovic has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Brunner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smajlovic fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Giovanni Brunner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ahmed Smajlovic.
Smajlovic tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brunner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smajlovic somewhat.
Brunner misses with a body shot.
Smajlovic shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Brunner counters with a nice body shot.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Brunner, right into the meat.
Smajlovic looks gassed!
Brunner takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Brunner lands a nice shot to the body.
Brunner pushes Smajlovic up against the cage in a clinch.
Brunner lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Brunner scores with a nice hook to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smajlovic throws an elbow but it misses.
Smajlovic is looking for a takedown.
Brunner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice body kick there by Brunner.
Brunner ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Smajlovic moves out of range of the body kick.
Brunner scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brunner throws a series of punches but Smajlovic avoids them all with ease.
Brunner scores with a nice head shot.
Brunner lands with a straight right. Smajlovic didn't see that one coming.
Smajlovic is rocked!
Brunner fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Smajlovic is still on wobbly legs! Can Brunner finish him?
Smajlovic is trying desperately to land a takedown but Brunner is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Smajlovic.
Brunner circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Smajlovic tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Brunner wins by KO!
