Shields comes into the arena with Last Resort - Papa Roach blaring out of the sound system. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decent striking displayed by Shields there.

Takeshi Shuhan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shuhan shoots in but no luck this time.
Shuhan is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Shuhan shoots in and drives through. Shields sprawls well.
Shuhan fails to land the takedown.
Michael Shields has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takeshi Shuhan.

Shields lands a nice shot that snaps Shuhan's head back.

Shields leaves Shuhan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Shields keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Shuhan on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Shields stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shields wants it to stay on the feet.
Shields lands a two punch combo.
Shuhan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Shields bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Shields scores with a shot to the body.

Shuhan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Shields connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Shuhan scrambles back to his feet.
Shuhan is still on wobbly legs! Can Shields finish him?
Shields drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Shuhan's head, knocking him out cold! Shields is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Michael Shields really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Valhalla 160 logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
