The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dragic steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ngata.
Ngata shoots for a double leg takedown but Dragic sprawls well. He's pushed Ngata's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ngata changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dragic tries to avoid it but Ngata manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dragic to the ground. Dragic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ngata misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Haki Ngata. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dragic lands with a thumping leg kick.
Dragic feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ngata's calf.
Ngata is breathing heavily.

Dragic closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Dragic sends Ngata crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Dragic is motioning to the referee to let Ngata up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Dragan Dragic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dragic lands a brutal uppercut that launches Ngata off his feet! Ngata tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
