PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Kemal Barbossa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Esch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Esch is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Butter Bean song. Eric Esch will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Eric Esch!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbossa takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Donk. Esch catches Barbossa right on the button with a cross.

It looks like Kemal Barbossa has been cut.
A clash of legs there as Esch blocks the low kick.
Barbossa wants to clinch.
Barbossa misses with a low kick as Esch jumps back.
Barbossa takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barbossa moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Barbossa pushes Esch away with a front kick.
Barbossa looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Esch connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Barbossa onto his butt! Barbossa bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.
Esch closes the distance and catches Barbossa with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Barbossa is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Barbossa is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Barbossa is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Esch takes it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Eric Esch!
Eric Esch decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
