The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricker feints and then cracks Runkle 's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Runkle down.
Chakotay Ricker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Runkle blocks a head kick by Ricker.
Ricker throws a leg kick that is checked
and Runkle counters with a straight right hand.

Oooooh!!! Runkle has knocked Ricker down with a huge combo! Runkle steps away and waves a wobbly Ricker back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Ricker is rocked!

It looks like Chakotay Ricker has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A solid leg kick lands there for Runkle .
Oh Ricker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ricker takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Runkle throws a right hand that Ricker ducks under and follows up with a left that Ricker also avoids with ease.
Ricker tries a head kick but it misses.
Ricker seems to have got his legs back now.
Runkle misses the shot to the body.

Ricker tries to keep at a distance but Runkle has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ricker is trying to maintain a safe position but Runkle gets an underhook and turns Ricker into the cage.
Runkle tries to land knees in the clinch but Ricker avoids the damage to the body.
Runkle avoids the elbow strike from Ricker, against the cage.
Ricker missing with knees to the body.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Runkle .

Ricker with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Runkle lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Runkle lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Runkle misses with a knee strike.
Ricker takes an elbow to the forehead.
Runkle softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Ricker unloads a knee to the mid-section.
With the fighters up against the cage, Runkle throws an elbow but misses.
Runkle lands with a light punch inside.
Runkle lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Ricker.
Runkle blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Runkle lands a hook to the side of the head.
Runkle scores with a shot to the side of Ricker's head.
Runkle creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Ricker's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Ricker drops to his knees and Runkle pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
