PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Sloane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sloane's entrance music is Beautiful. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kurt Sloane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bob White!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloane tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but White was well out of range. Poor timing from Sloane.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Sloane checks a leg kick.
Sloane tests White's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Sloane shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Sloane tries to score with a low kick but White moves his leg out of the way.
Sloane slips a jab and a cross from White.
White misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sloane.
White avoids a punch combination nicely.
White takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Sloane takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Sloane throws a quick head kick that skims the top of White's head.

White loads up on a big right hand but Sloane slips the punch.
Sloane throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
White is looking to chop away at Sloane's legs.

White does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A solid leg kick lands there for White.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sloane is looking to wear down White with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sloane lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and White has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from White and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Sloane needs to keep his hands up - White had a free shot at his head there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

White looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
White dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sloane. That did some damage!

and Sloane counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

White fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sloane manages to avoid it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Sloane has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Sloane takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Sloane is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

White bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Sloane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but White moves away.

Sloane has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sloane there as he acknowledges the shot.
White moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
White fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sloane looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sloane throws a push kick but White slaps the foot to one side.
White takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Sloane throws a front kick aimed at White's knee but White avoids it well.

Sloane is rocked!
White closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Sloane out cold! Sloane corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
