Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lee Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Philco Hitachi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson comes to the cage accompanied by Alice In Chains- Them Bones. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lee Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Philco Hitachi!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Wilson coming out on top.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wilson enables Hitachi to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wilson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Hitachi postures up in Wilson's guard and throws a big left but Wilson blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hitachi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wilson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hitachi throwing strikes from guard but Wilson blocks nicely.
Wilson pulls Hitachi in close to his closed guard and prevents Hitachi from doing any damage or advancing position.
Wilson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hitachi's guard.
Wilson distracts Hitachi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hitachi controls Wilson momentarily but Wilson frees himself.
Wilson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wilson postures up in Hitachi's guard and throws a big left but Hitachi blocks it.

Hitachi wants to sweep but no luck.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Wilson wants to pass the guard but Hitachi is keeping the position.

Hitachi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wilson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Wilson distracts Hitachi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hitachi thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Hitachi looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wilson passes into side control.
Wilson looks up at the clock and then as Hitachi takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Wilson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Wilson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hitachi is trying to control Wilson's posture but Wilson avoids it.

Hitachi tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wilson stands up and beckons Hitachi to his feet.
Wilson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Hitachi misses with a takedown attempt
letting Wilson counter with a right hand.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Hitachi looks gassed!
A left and a right from Wilson both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Philco Hitachi has been cut.
Hitachi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wilson.
Wilson throws a nice inside leg kick.
Wilson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wilson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hitachi.
Hitachi takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Wilson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hitachi has momentary wrist control but Wilson slips an elbow through the middle.
Wilson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hitachi isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wilson stacks Hitachi on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wilson!
Wilson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wilson scores with a couple of short elbows.
Wilson just content to control the position.
Wilson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Hitachi tries to bench press Wilson off him but Wilson keeps the position.

Wilson content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Wilson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hitachi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wilson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Wilson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hitachi!

Wilson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hitachi can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wilson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hitachi is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Wilson scores with a couple of nice shots.

Wilson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Wilson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hitachi for as long as he can get away with.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Lee Wilson.

Wilson clobbers Hitachi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

and Wilson counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Wilson looking to finish!

Wilson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hitachi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Lee Wilson wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Wilson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Wilson connects with a big uppercut there that sends Hitachi tumbling to the ground! Wilson follows him down into his guard.


That has opened up Philco Hitachi's cut even more.
Hitachi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Wilson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wilson forces his way into half guard.
Hitachi has hold of Wilson's hands but Wilson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Hitachi on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Wilson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Hitachi flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Hitachi is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Wilson scores with a couple of nice shots.

Wilson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Wilson is trying to work for a kimura but Hitachi is defending well.
Wilson is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Wilson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Hitachi!
Hitachi tries to lock up and control but Wilson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Lee Wilson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

You get the feeling that Hitachi really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Lee Wilson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hitachi takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Wilson throws a good cross that connects.

Wilson has Hitachi up against the cage in a clinch.

Wilson misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Wilson works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Hitachi goes for a takedown in the clinch but Wilson prevents it.
Lee Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Philco Hitachi.

Well Wilson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
