The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Merithweather thows a body shot but no joy.
Nice body punch from Merithweather.
Merithweather slips under a jab.
Merithweather throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Merithweather lands a lovely overhand right.
Roxas misses with a looping right.
Merithweather moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Roxas is rocked!
Merithweather misses with a jab, cross combination.
Oh Roxas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Merithweather lands a left and a right that send Roxas crashing to the mat, dazed. Merithweather thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Merithweather cracks Roxas on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Roxas falls backwards against the cage. Merithweather follows up with more strikes that drop Roxas to his knees. Merithweather keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Roxas! This one is all over!
