Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Houston Marley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marley throws the kick towards the body but Thomas avoids it.
Thomas looks to land a combination but Marley avoids it well.
Thomas circles away from the clinch attempt.
Marley throws a head kick that Thomas semi-blocks.

Marley tries to sprawl but Thomas drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Marley is not content to let Thomas control the position.
Marley moves into full guard.
Marley looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Thomas is looking to work some ground and pound but Marley has wrist control.

Thomas is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Marley is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Marley has escaped and now he's on top!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Thomas in particular looking to stall.

That was a close round but I would say that Houston Marley will probably get the nod.

Thomas is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Marley doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Thomas.

Marley is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Thomas's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Thomas's back!

Marley tries to close the distance and clinch but Thomas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Marley enables Thomas to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Marley manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Thomas is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Thomas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thomas wants it to stay on the feet.

Thomas takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Marley pushes Thomas off looking to stand but Thomas dives back in and keeps control.

Marley is looking to control Thomas's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Marley avoid being mounted?

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Thomas connects with a nice short shot to Marley's temple.
