Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rey Mystery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick shannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mystery comes to the ring accompanied by Booyaka. Nick shannon is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mystery.
shannon avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A nice leg kick lands there from Mystery.
Mystery misses with a two punch combination.

shannon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - shannon lands in his opponent's guard.
Mystery has momentary wrist control but shannon slips an elbow through the middle.

Mystery working for a triangle but shannon defends it easily.
shannon trying to control the position from guard on top but Mystery is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
shannon throws a strike but Mystery rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

shannon has his foot on Mystery's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mystery works his way back into a safe position though.

shannon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mystery's guard.
shannon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mystery is proving hard to escape from.
Mystery might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mystery looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but shannon is defending well. Mystery quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! shannon has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Mystery celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.
