The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Amandeep moves into the clinch successfully.

Amandeep throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Amandeep digs a right hand underneath Powell's ribcage. Powell let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Amandeep tightens his grip and picks Powell up, before dumping him to the ground. Powell manages to land in guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Powell tries to sprawl but Amandeep drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Amandeep passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Powell!

Amandeep jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Powell manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Powell tries to bench press Amandeep off him but Amandeep keeps the position.
Powell wants to get back to his feet but Amandeep drags him back down.

Powell might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Amandeep kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Amandeep working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Amandeep tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Amandeep has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Powell wants to hold on but Amandeep pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Amandeep pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Amandeep scoring with strikes but Powell is staying in there.
Amandeep lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Powell hang on?
Powell tries to buck Amandeep off but he can't manage it.
Amandeep tries to control but Powell wriggling away.
Powell tries to hold on but Amandeep pushes him away.
Amandeep landing strikes from the mount and Powell is in trouble!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Powell looks gassed!
Amandeep content just to control the position here.

Amandeep closes this distance looking for a takedown but Powell circles away.

Powell closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Amandeep quickly recovers to half guard.

Amandeep looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Powell has picked Amandeep up and slammed him! Amandeep can't keep hold of the triangle and Powell manages to pass to side control!
Amandeep is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Powell off and has taken his back!
Amandeep tries to keep control of the position but Powell is staying busy.
Powell is trying to stand back up.

Amandeep is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Powell knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Powell for a finish.

Amandeep looking to break Powell's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Powell remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Amandeep will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Powell is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Amandeep. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Amandeep has his arm under Powell's chin here. Game over son! Amandeep squeezes tightly and Powell is forced to tap out!
