The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boykiy doesn't manage to clinch there - Downes circles away.

Ben Downes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Downes wants to break free but Boykiy has control.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Downes wants to stand and escape but instead Boykiy has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Downes would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Boykiy manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Boykiy has control of Downes's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Downes regains control of the situation pretty easily.
