The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salmon swings for the body but Ivanovich moves out of range.
Cleon Salmon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ivanovich throws out a leg kick but Salmon moves out of range and Ivanovich only half commits.
Salmon lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Salmon.

Salmon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ivanovich looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
