The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guinness throws a series of punches but Widow moves out of range.
Guinness connects with a jab.
Guinness lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Guinness works Widow's body with a nice hook.
Widow shoots in but Guinness avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Richard Guinness seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guinness misses with a few strikes there.
Guinness slaps away a takedown attempt from Widow, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Widow takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Widow with a lazy takedown attempt
and Guinness counters with a one-two to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for White Widow. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Widow is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Guinness moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
