Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ricardo Rick!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahara throws a right hand that misses

and Rick counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Takahara!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Takahara is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Rick unloads with some shots from mount but Takahara bucks and avoids them well.

Takahara holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Rick tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Rick working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Rick stands up from mount. Strange move.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rick misses with an attempted mid kick.
Rick stuffs the takedown attempt from Takahara. Takahara gets slowly back to his feet.
Rick fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Takahara, right into the meat.
Rick dodges the punch combination from Takahara.
Takahara throws a nice head kick!

It looks like Ricardo Rick has been cut.
Rick has a takedown stuffed.

Rick closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Takahara is refusing to be controlled, as Rick sits in half guard.
Rick trying to mount his opponent but Takahara defends it.

Rick is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Rick seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rick not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Takahara avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rick.
Rick is looking to take a break and control but Takahara is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rick is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Takahara is just riding it out for now. Rick eventually gives up the hold.

Rick is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Takahara is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
