The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stann lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Strong circles away quickly and effectively.
Strong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stann but Stann pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Strong moves into the clinch.
Strong is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Stann to keep the fight standing.

Strong escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Stann closes the distance and clinches up with Strong, looking for a takedown. Stann pushes Strong against the cage but Strong circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Strong shoots in for a double leg but Stann sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jack Strong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Strong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stann pinned against the cage. Stann gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Stann might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Stann feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
