Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lesaner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Capone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesaner tries for a takedown but Capone circles away easily

and Capone counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lesaner looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Capone puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Lesaner has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Capone is working away from the top position though.
Lesaner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Capone is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lesaner defends it well.

Lesaner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Capone on the ground.
Capone thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Capone decides to stand up.

Lesaner gets caught flat footed, as Capone shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Capone is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Capone sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lesaner's guard.

Capone thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lesaner's head.

Capone shoots in but Lesaner avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Lesaner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Capone is fending him off so far but Lesaner persists. Nope, Capone circles away and we're back to standing.
Capone chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lesaner can pounce on him.

Lesaner tries to kick Capone off but Capone keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Lesaner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Capone drives through and clinches with Lesaner against the cage.

Capone had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lesaner defends it easily.
Capone has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Capone turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Capone manages to end up in side control.

Well Capone has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
