The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLay on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Quiao fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McLay manages to avoid it.
Quiao scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Pac Quiao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quiao lands a jab.
Quiao lands with a good body shot.
McLay is trying hard to land a takedown here. Quiao sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Quiao scores with a hook to the body. McLay takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Quiao throws a right and a left that McLay avoids nicely.

McLay uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Quiao.
Oh McLay is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McLay avoids the body shot from Quiao.
Quiao ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McLay moves away.
McLay seems to have got his legs back now.
McLay throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Quiao cracks McLay with a right hand to the side of the head.
Quiao smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
McLay shoots in for a takedown but Quiao shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Quiao punishes McLay's body with a nice straight punch.

Quiao misses with a jab, cross combination.
Quiao just misses with a punch to the body.
Quiao lands a slapping body shot.
Quiao scores with a sloppy right hand. McLay should have avoided that one.

Nice takedown defense from Quiao. No joy for McLay on that attempt.

Quiao fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Quiao takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Quiao thows a left - swing and a miss!
McLay on the wrong end of a nice jab.
McLay keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Quiao.
Quiao displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McLay.
McLay really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Quiao tests McLay's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Quiao cracks McLay with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends McLay tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Quiao pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! McLay is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pac Quiao!
Pac Quiao was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
