The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Jon as Ortiz shoots in.
Ortiz needs to keep his hands up - Jon had a free shot at his head there.
Ortiz is looking to clinch.
Ortiz shoots in for a takedown but Jon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jon lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Ortiz takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jon misses with a head kick.
Jon fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A lazy left from Jon finds it's target.

It looks like Tito Ortiz has been cut.

Jon connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Ortiz blocks a head kick by Jon.
Jon throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ortiz stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jon cracks Ortiz with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ortiz looks gassed!
Jon moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Ortiz is rocked!
Jon is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ortiz.
Ortiz is still on wobbly legs! Can Jon finish him?
Kyle Jon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tito Ortiz.

That has opened up Tito Ortiz's cut even more.
Jon moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Jon thuds his right hand into Ortiz's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Ortiz gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Jon gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
