Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terrence Tomono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Vidal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Vidal.
Tomono shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vidal napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Tomono wants to control but Vidal is keeping him busy.
Tomono tries for a kimura but Vidal is defending well.

Tomono goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Vidal turns into him and now he's in Tomono's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tomono sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vidal's guard.
Tomono seems to be working for a kimura but Vidal defends the submission attempt.
Tomono is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vidal is just riding it out for now. Tomono eventually gives up the hold.
Tomono is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Tomono tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vidal sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tomono somewhat.

Terrence Tomono overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Vidal is not content to let Tomono control the position.
Tomono is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vidal can do to turn this around?
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tomono tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tomono has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Vidal tries to get back to half guard but can't.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Tomono looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Tomono is working for a submission of some sort.

Tomono is looking for a kimura but Vidal is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tomono to get the leverage.

Tomono goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Vidal turns into him and now he's in Tomono's guard.

Tomono wriggles free and stands up.
Vidal misses with a head kick.

Vidal takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Vidal gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Tomono stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vidal swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vidal keeping moving, preventing Tomono from controlling successfully.
Tomono avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Tomono stands up over Vidal, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Tomono drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vidal looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vidal looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vidal!
Tomono is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Vidal asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Rafael Vidal has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tomono bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Tomono has his takedown stuffed
enabling Vidal to counter with a crisp jab.

Tomono closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Vidal takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Tomono is trying to get an arm triangle but Vidal is defending well.
You can see the frustration on Vidal's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tomono, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
