Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rotan shoots in looking for a takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl out of it but Rotan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jackson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rotan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rotan tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Jackson wants to sweep here but Rotan controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rotan prevents Jackson from getting back to his feet.
Rotan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Jackson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rotan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jackson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Rotan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rotan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jackson is fending him off so far but Rotan persists. Nope, Jackson circles away and we're back to standing.

Rotan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jackson's waist but Jackson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rotan off to one side.

Jackson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rotan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rotan stuffs the takedown.
Rotan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Rotan counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Rotan wants to take a breather but Jackson is having none of it.
Jackson is looking to escape.
Rotan stalling.
Rotan lands with a punch from half guard.
Rotan is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jackson!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rotan looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Rotan has control of Jackson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jackson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Jackson wants to control but Rotan is having none of it.

Rotan wants to control the pace but Jackson is squirming around nicely.

Rotan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jackson is looking to escape.
Rotan won't let Jackson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Jackson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rotan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rotan lands a nice shot to the head.
Jackson tries to lock up and control but Rotan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
You get the feeling that Jackson really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Jackson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rotan punching from mount but Jackson doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Jackson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rotan unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Jackson wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Rotan celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivan Rotan!
