PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chico Feijo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Feijo has chosen "Going out West" Tom Waits as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Feijo punishes Thompson's body with a nice straight punch.
Nice shot lands for Feijo.
Thompson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Feijo lands with a hook. Thompson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Feijo works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Feijo throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Feijo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Thompson uses from the top position.

Feijo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Thompson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Thompson shrugs it off.

Feijo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Feijo is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Thompson has his hands clasped together but Feijo extends an breaks Thompson's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Feijo.
