Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arcel Dacir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Ferro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dacir closes the distance but Ferro moves to the side

and Ferro counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Ferro thows a huge punch but Dacir dodges it nicely.

Dacir makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dacir.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ferro thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ferro prevents Dacir from getting back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dacir trying to keep a closed guard but Ferro is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Dacir throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ferro.
Ferro takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Dacir avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Sloppy strikes from Dacir. Those never looked like landing.

Ferro walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Dacir fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ferro manages to avoid it.

Dacir fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ferro, pushing him back against the cage.
Ferro is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Dacir is defending well.
Ferro wants to take the fight to the mat but Dacir manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Arcel Dacir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Ferro.

Oooooh!!! Dacir has knocked Ferro down with a huge combo! Dacir steps away and waves a wobbly Ferro back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Ferro takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

The fighters circle, before Dacir throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Ferro's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Dacir lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
