Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Euringer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimmy Euringer has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Antonio Rivera's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Antonio Rivera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jimmy Euringer!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Euringer throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Jimmy Euringer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Euringer drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Rivera tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Euringer tries to move into full mount but can't pass Rivera's legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Euringer thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rivera manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Rivera might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Rivera is refusing to be controlled, as Euringer sits in half guard.
Rivera moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Euringer missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Euringer gets to his feet - Rivera follows without any prompting.

Euringer moves into the clinch successfully.

Euringer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Euringer lands with an overhand left.
Rivera feints a jab promting Euringer to slip. Rivera then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Euringer slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Rivera's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Rivera duly obliges.
Euringer tries to work over Rivera's front leg with a kick but Rivera checks it.
Euringer throws a good cross that connects.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Euringer slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Rivera looks for a takedown but Euringer sprawls well.
Rivera shoots for a double leg takedown but Euringer sprawls well. He's pushed Rivera's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Euringer swings for the body but Rivera moves out of range.

Rivera shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Euringer as he avoids it easily.

Euringer is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Rivera is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Euringer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rivera circles away quickly and effectively.

Euringer misses with a wild body shot.

Rivera throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rivera moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Euringer throws a low kick, looking for Rivera's leg but Rivera calmly moves out of range.
Euringer catches Rivera with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Euringer throws a right hand that Rivera ducks under and follows up with a left that Rivera also avoids with ease.
Euringer leaves Rivera with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Rivera counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Euringer!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rivera stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Rivera shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Euringer defends it nicely.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Euringer throws a left and a right that both miss

and Rivera counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Rivera looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jimmy Euringer will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Euringer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Euringer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rivera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rivera escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Euringer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close second round but I would say that Antonio Rivera will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Rivera shoots in looking for a takedown. Euringer tries to sprawl out of it but Rivera keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Euringer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rivera throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Euringer escapes and throws Rivera's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Euringer has control of Rivera's left arm, preventing Rivera from doing any damage.
Rivera won't allow Euringer to sweep him here.

Rivera postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Rivera drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Euringer dives on top into guard.

Rivera has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Euringer is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rivera.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Euringer takes a little break here. Rivera wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Rivera is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Euringer's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

I think Euringer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
