Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flux scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Cruz being controlled for a moment.
Cruz parries the strikes from Flux easily there. Flux is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Cruz to escape.
Flux trying to control the action but Cruz is working from the bottom.
The strikes coming from Flux are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Cruz is pushing Flux's head away, looking to escape. Flux manages to hold on to the position though.
Flux is looking to take a break and control but Cruz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We're going to have a standup here because Atomic Flux wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Flux stuffs the takedown.
Cruz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Flux's guard.

Flux has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Cruz off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and Cruz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Cruz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Flux.
Flux shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Flux paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Flux keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cruz misses with a takedown attempt - Flux sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Atomic Flux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Cruz.

Cruz has Flux pressed against the cage, preventing Flux from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Flux is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Cruz to keep the fight standing.

Flux fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Flux tries to pull guard but Cruz forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Maybe Flux would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.
Flux tries to circle away but Cruz has him pinned against the cage.

Cruz manages to break the clinch.
Cruz looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Flux is breathing heavily.
Cruz is looking to stand up but Flux won't let him.
Flux looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Cruz wants to stand and escape but instead Flux has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cruz is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

A close round but Brock Cruz will probably get the nod.
That's time! Flux's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Cruz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Flux manages to work his way to half guard, despite Cruz's best efforts.
Cruz wants to stand but Flux has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Flux wants to improve his position but Cruz is controlling well.
Flux wants to get back to his feet.
It looks like Cruz is going to stand back up.
Brock Cruz has got the better of the ground game so far.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Flux looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Cruz wants to stand up but Flux has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Cruz decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Cruz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Flux pinned against the cage. Flux gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Flux slaps away a takedown attempt from Cruz, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Flux fails to land the takedown.
Cruz shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Flux manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Cruz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cruz wants to stand but Flux is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Flux wants to sweep but no luck.
Cruz wants to stand but Flux has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Cruz stands and steps away. Flux gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Cruz misses with a series of wild punches.
Cruz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Flux's waist but Flux gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cruz off to one side.

Cruz shoots for a double leg takedown but Flux sprawls well. He's pushed Cruz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cruz has Flux pressed against the cage, preventing Flux from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Flux goes for a takedown in the clinch but Cruz prevents it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Brock Cruz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Horrible takedown by Cruz or perhaps it was just good defense by Flux which made him look bad.
