Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charles Whentworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aurini God Emperor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying God Emperor's choice of entrance music: The Tragically Hip - Locked In The Trunk Of A Car . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Whentworth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aurini God Emperor!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Reed Andrews and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as God Emperor checks a leg kick.
Whentworth tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but God Emperor paws at him with a jab and circles away.
God Emperor on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Whentworth. Whentworth obviously looking to wear him down.
God Emperor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Whentworth manages to avoid it.
God Emperor tries for a takedown but Whentworth sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from God Emperor.

God Emperor shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Whentworth napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Whentworth defending against the ground and pound.
A bit of a lull in the action here.
Whentworth tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but God Emperor wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
God Emperor throws an elbow but Whentworth slips to the side and avoids it well.

God Emperor postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
God Emperor creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Whentworth sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
God Emperor throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Whentworth works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

God Emperor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Whentworth does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

God Emperor looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Whentworth with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Whentworth is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of God Emperor's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take God Emperor's back!

I really don't envy God Emperor right now.
God Emperor is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Whentworth is looking to control God Emperor but God Emperor is wriggling around and keeping busy.

God Emperor breaks Whentworth's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Whentworth controls God Emperor momentarily but God Emperor frees himself.

Aurini God Emperor dominated that round.

Whentworth throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Horrible takedown by God Emperor or perhaps it was just good defense by Whentworth which made him look bad.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Whentworth stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Whentworth wants it to stay on the feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Charles Whentworth will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
