PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Phineus Gage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Kahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gage comes to the ring accompanied by Guns N Roses - Welcome to the Jungle. Kahn has chosen Boris Brejcha - Flockentanz as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Phineus Gage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Oliver Kahn!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gage stuffs the takedown.

Kahn rushes Gage and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Kahn breaks from the clinch.
Gage jabs Kahn to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kahn misses with a takedown attempt - Gage sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gage throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kahn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gage tries to avoid it but Kahn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gage to the ground. Gage escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Phineus Gage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oliver Kahn.
Gage defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kahn.
Gage slaps away a takedown attempt from Kahn, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gage connects with a body shot that sends Kahn's belly button to the back.
Gage misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kahn takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Kahn looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gage feints a jab promting Kahn to slip. Gage then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kahn slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Oliver Kahn has been cut.
Gage dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kahn takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Gage fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Oooooh!!! Gage has knocked Kahn down with a huge combo! Gage steps away and waves a wobbly Kahn back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Kahn is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gage lands with a kick to the ribs.
Kahn is still on wobbly legs! Can Gage finish him?
Gage batters Kahn with a massive right followed by a huge left! Kahn is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Gage lands a final crushing right hand to drop Kahn to the mat with a gruesome thud! Gage is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Phineus Gage!
