PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Meszaros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Meszaros!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony Stark!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark lands with a nice body punch.
Stark throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Meszaros.
Stark misses with a wild combination.
Stark looks to land a combination but Meszaros avoids it well.
Stark avoids the head kick by Meszaros.
Meszaros thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Stark if he has to take too many more of those.
Tony Stark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stark lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A punch combination from Stark misses.
Meszaros moves in looking to clinch but Stark pushes him off.
Meszaros misses with a head kick.
Meszaros tries to clinch but Stark moves away
and Stark cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Meszaros clinches up against the ropes.
Stark blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Meszaros prevents Stark from breaking the clinch.
Meszaros landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stark wants to break free but Meszaros has control.
Meszaros is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Stark to keep the fight standing.

Meszaros manages to break the clinch.
Stark gets in close and tags Meszaros with a short punch that almost sends Meszaros to the mat! Oh Meszaros is in big trouble! He turns his back on Stark, trying to create some distance but Stark rushes him, striking wildly and Meszaros goes down! The referee tackles Stark into the ropes to end the fight! Stark is one violent man!
