PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grisha Kamenov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theopolis Barrymore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kamenov comes to the ring accompanied by Atmosphere - Legends. Barrymore is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Thing That Should Not Be. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamenov tries to clinch up

and Barrymore counters with a single leg into guard. Kamenov didn't expect that.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Barrymore is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kamenov tries to sprawl but Barrymore drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Barrymore manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kamenov on his heels. He'll look to pass Kamenov's guard now, I'm sure.

Barrymore slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kamenov controls Barrymore momentarily but Barrymore frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Barrymore shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kamenov's guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Theopolis Barrymore wasn't active enough on the ground.

Barrymore feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Barrymore maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kamenov could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Barrymore has cracked it and Kamenov is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Barrymore!
