Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francisco Pedro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Wallce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallce gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pedro to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Pedro pushes down on Wallce's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Pedro seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wallce does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Wallce is trying to maintain the position but Pedro is very close to passing his half guard.
Wallce landing small, sideways elbows.
Wallce landing strikes from the bottom.
Wallce wants to control but Pedro is keeping busy.
Wallce is looking to get back to full guard here but Pedro has managed to pass to side control instead.

Wallce tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Pedro presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Wallce is squirming around, avoiding Pedro's attempts to control the action.
Pedro wants to stand but Wallce is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Wallce takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Pedro is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Wallce is surviving well by controlling Pedro's body position as best he can.
Pedro manages to capitalize on a mistake by Wallce to take his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wallce tries to roll but Pedro sticks to his back.

Pedro is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Wallce has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Pedro has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Wallce has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Wallce rolls, trying to escape but Pedro keeps control of the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wallce wants to escape the position.
Wallce is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

and Wallce counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pedro's guard now.
Wallce postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Wallce is in close to Pedro's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Wallce really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pedro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wallce arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Pedro's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
