Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chuck WIlson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Claudio Dutra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chuck WIlson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Claudio Dutra!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dutra shoots for a takedown but WIlson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
WIlson fails in his attempt to clinch.
WIlson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Dutra throws a right and a left that both miss.
WIlson connects with a high kick.

Dutra fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging WIlson to the ground. Dutra is now in WIlson's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
WIlson looking to control.
WIlson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Dutra has passed into side control.
Dutra just content to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

WIlson wants to improve his position but Dutra is controlling well.
Dutra is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
WIlson darts in trying to clinch

and Dutra holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Dutra pulls guard successfully.

WIlson passes Dutra's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
WIlson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Dutra wants to get back to full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
WIlson is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Dutra tries to get to full guard but WIlson has control of the leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chuck WIlson will probably get the nod.

Dutra has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. WIlson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
