The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Presley is looking to clinch.
Merkel swats away the attempt to clinch by Presley.
Presley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Merkel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Merkel keeps the fight on the outside.

Presley clinches up against the cage.
Presley throws a knee to the head but misses.
Presley using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Merkel has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Merkel feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Presley sprawling to the canvas! Presley rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Merkel finish him?!
Presley moves in looking to clinch but Merkel pushes him off.
Merkel throws a body kick that misses.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Presley landing knees to the head.
Merkel lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Presley is rocked!
Merkel creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Presley's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Presley drops to his knees and Merkel pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
