The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baars tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Baars scores with a jab to the head.
Baars changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Jones enables Baars to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jones manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Baars wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
Baars stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Baars digs a right hand into Jones's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Jones's gas tank.

Baars unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Jones! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Baars is unloading with more strikes now! Jones drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mace Baars!
During a confident post fight interview, Mace Baars thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
