Excellent takedown into side control there by Puti.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Puti wants to control but Stompkick is keeping him busy.
Stompkick takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Stompkick is looking to regain half guard here but Puti keeps moving and retains side control.
Puti cracks Stompkick with a big right hand but Stompkick just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Puti has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Stompkick tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Stompkick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Puti. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stompkick takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Puti scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Stompkick is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Puti can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
