The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ghyl dodges the punch combination from Diaz.
Diaz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ghyl.
Ghyl moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Diaz lands a jab.

It looks like Strygwyr Ghyl has been cut.
Ghyl looks to land a combination but Diaz avoids it well.
Ghyl lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Diaz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ghyl tries to bum rush Diaz with a series of wild strikes but Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Diaz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Diaz misses with a two punch combination.
Diaz looks to land a combination but Ghyl avoids it well.
Ghyl ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ghyl dodges the punch combination from Diaz.
Ghyl misses with a double jab

and Diaz counters by moving into the clinch.
Diaz is looking to break free of the clinch but Ghyl has double underhooks.

Ghyl breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ghyl lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Diaz throws a right hand that Ghyl ducks under and follows up with a left that Ghyl also avoids with ease.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Diaz there as he acknowledges the shot.
Ghyl lands with a kick to the temple. Diaz shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Nate Diaz has been cut.
Diaz throws a combination that misses
and Ghyl counters with a head kick that wobbles Diaz - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Ghyl sends him down. This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Strygwyr Ghyl!
Strygwyr Ghyl decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
