Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vnay Vento!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Captain Shiaaaat!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vento misses with a wild combination.
Shiaaaat pivots, looking for a leg kick but Vento is out of range and Shiaaaat settles back down.
Vento throws a hook to the side of Shiaaaat's head but Shiaaaat sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
An inside leg kick lands from Vento.
Vento looks to land a body kick but Shiaaaat moved away.
Vento swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Shiaaaat tries to clinch up.
Vento punishes Shiaaaat's body with a nice straight punch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shiaaaat misses with a low kick.
Shiaaaat is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Shiaaaat misses with a straight left.
Vento throws a right and a left that Shiaaaat avoids nicely.
Vento moves out of range as Shiaaaat strikes.
Vento throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vento keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Shiaaaat.
Shiaaaat takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Shiaaaat staying out of range there.
A nice inside leg kick there by Shiaaaat. That's going to slow Vento down.
Vento connects with a right hand. Shiaaaat shakes it off.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Vento throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Shiaaaat is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the ropes! Wow!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Vnay Vento!
A very excited looking Vnay Vento rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
