Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Melo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heraldo Magnifico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melo walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Magnifico darts in and clinches Melo up against the cage.
Melo tries to work over Magnifico's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

The referee is keeping an eye on Magnifico - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Melo's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Magnifico digs a right hand underneath Melo's ribcage. Melo let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Magnifico manages to break the clinch.

Magnifico connects with a good right hand that stumbles Melo. Melo circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Felipe Melo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Magnifico is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Melo fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Magnifico is out of range.
