Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masaki Sumitani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kent comes to the cage accompanied by I'll be Back. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sumitani lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
A head kick misses from Sumitani.

Kent clinches up with Sumitani and pushes him back against the cage.
Kent is looking to break free of the clinch but Sumitani has double underhooks.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kent as Sumitani tries to tie him up.

Sumitani tries a head kick but it misses.

Sumitani has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sumitani there as he acknowledges the shot.
Good leg kick by Sumitani there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Kent throws a combination. Sumitani tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Sumitani uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kent has time to react.
It looks like Peter Kent has been cut.

Kent is breathing heavily.
Sumitani has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sumitani there as he acknowledges the shot.
Sumitani throws a head kick but Kent moves out of range.
Sumitani fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kent.
Sumitani throws a sloppy head kick and Kent moves out of range easily.
Kent jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Masaki Sumitani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Sumitani.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kent walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Sumitani throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sumitani ducks under a wild hook from Kent.
Sumitani throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Sumitani tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sumitani lands a high kick!

Kent takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Sumitani throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Sumitani takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Sumitani jabs Kent right on the nose. Kent blinks but takes it well.
Sumitani tries a head kick but it misses.
Sumitani throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kent sees it coming and avoids it easily.
An inside leg kick lands from Sumitani.
Kent throws a hook to the side of Sumitani's head but Sumitani sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A decent looking cross lands there for Sumitani.
Kent connects with a jab.
Sumitani drops Kent with a beautiful combination! Kent stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Sumitani is looking for the KO!
Sumitani throws a head kick that misses.
Sumitani throws a leg kick but Kent moved away.
Sumitani thows a body kick. Kent tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Kent moves into range and connects with a jab.
A combination from Kent does no damage.
Sumitani slips under a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Whack! Sumitani lands a heavy head kick that drops Kent. The ref tackles Sumitani to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Kent was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Masaki Sumitani!
Masaki Sumitani really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that -OVERDOSE Factory- logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
