Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lorenzo Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Bronze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mr Bronze is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Mr Bronze!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronze leaves Ribeiro with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bronze is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Bronze.
Mr Bronze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ribeiro avoids the head kick by Bronze.
Bronze throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bronze pushes Ribeiro away with a front kick.
Bronze fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ribeiro.
Ribeiro misses with a takedown attempt - Bronze sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bronze cracks Ribeiro with an open hand slap.
Bronze throws a body punch but Ribeiro moves out of range.
Ribeiro takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Ribeiro on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Bronze throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bronze cracks a nice hook into Ribeiro's ribs.
Ribeiro takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Bronze stuns Ribeiro with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bronze buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ribeiro keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ribeiro ducks under a wild hook from Bronze.
Bronze connects with a jab.
Bronze misses the shot to the body.
Bronze looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Ribeiro shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bronze as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lorenzo Ribeiro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ribeiro fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bronze sprawls well initially but Ribeiro persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ribeiro frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Bronze bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Bronze pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ribeiro is keeping the position for now.

Ribeiro has his foot on Bronze's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bronze works his way back into a safe position though.
Bronze postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bronze is looking to work some ground and pound but Ribeiro has wrist control.
Ribeiro preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Bronze wants to control from the top but Ribeiro keeps moving.
Bronze trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bronze passes Ribeiro's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Bronze throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Bronze decides to stand up.
Ribeiro swats away the attempt to clinch by Bronze.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bronze misses the jab.
Bronze connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ribeiro momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mr Bronze dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Bronze tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ribeiro manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bronze smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Ribeiro throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bronze counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ribeiro's knee momentarily.
Good leg kick by Bronze there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ribeiro uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bronze.

Bronze closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Ribeiro blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Bronze throws a head punch that misses.
Ribeiro takes a shot to the head.
The referee is keeping an eye on Bronze - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Bronze lands a right hand.

A nice left hand lands by Bronze.
Bronze has a couple of punches blocked by Ribeiro.
Bronze misses with some punches.
Bronze misses with a hook from the clinch.
Bronze misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Ribeiro tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bronze lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Bronze misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Ribeiro is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bronze is defending well.

Ribeiro jumps guard and drags Bronze to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Ribeiro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bronze doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bronze manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bronze wants to control from the top but Ribeiro keeps moving.

Bronze tries to free his leg and advance position but Ribeiro is retaining full guard.
Ribeiro utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ribeiro might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bronze throwing strikes from guard but Ribeiro blocks nicely.
Bronze throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ribeiro works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Bronze must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Bronze slips nicely into half guard.
Bronze wants to take a breather but Ribeiro is having none of it.
Bronze trying to mount his opponent but Ribeiro defends it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ribeiro is looking for a sweep. Bronze is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bronze is trying to control. Ribeiro wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Bronze is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ribeiro doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bronze.
Bronze trying to pass the guard but Ribeiro defending well.
Bronze looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ribeiro with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ribeiro is in trouble now - Bronze has advanced to mount!

Bronze looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Bronze cracks Ribeiro with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mr Bronze!
