PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Titan Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oswaldo Barra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Law might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Nirvana-Come as You Are. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Law.

Law decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Law keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Barra.
Law misses with a double jab.
Barra throws a right and a left that both miss.
Law throws a shot from downtown. Barra moves away and avoids it.
Law fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barra manages to avoid it.
Law cracks Barra with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Law swinging wildly here.
Law connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Law swats away the attempt to clinch by Barra.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Barra enables Law to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Barra manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Law drops back, looking for a kneebar! Barra looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Barra looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Barra!
Barra fails to land a wild elbow strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Barra tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Barra has hold of Law's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Law tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Barra cranks the arm and Law screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Law, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Oswaldo Barra!
