Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Garry Dupuis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rico Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dupuis swats away the attempt to clinch by Sanchez.
Dupuis on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sanchez. Sanchez obviously looking to wear him down.
Decent striking displayed by Dupuis there.
Sanchez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sanchez goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Dupuis walks into a jab.
Sanchez fails in his attempt to clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sanchez lands a big head kick that sends Dupuis tumbling to the mat! Sanchez takes a step backwards and waves Dupuis back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Dupuis is rocked!
A lazy left from Sanchez finds it's target.
Oh Dupuis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dupuis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sanchez sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
The crowd cheers as Dupuis lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sanchez doesn't seem phased though.
Dupuis seems to have got his legs back now.
Sanchez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Sanchez pushes Dupuis up against the cage in a clinch.
Sanchez lands a damaging elbow.
Dupuis fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Sanchez obliges.
Dupuis takes an elbow to the temple.

Dupuis takes an elbow to the temple.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dupuis has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Sanchez after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Garry Dupuis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sanchez lands an elbow inside.
Sanchez lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Sanchez misses with a punch on the inside.
Dupuis tries for a takedown but Sanchez manages to get underhooks.
Dupuis tries to break free but Sanchez pushes him back against the cage.

Dupuis breaks from the clinch.
Dupuis is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Dupuis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Dupuis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sanchez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dupuis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dupuis is breathing heavily.

Sanchez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dupuis!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sanchez lands a nice shot to the head.

Sanchez is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Dupuis has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Dupuis!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Sanchez has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Dupuis should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sanchez has tightened it up now! Dupuis should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
