Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Probst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Probst comes to the cage accompanied by Stop What Ya Doin. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan McCarthy!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Probst connects with a leg kick. McCarthy looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
McCarthy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Probst was well out of range. Poor timing from McCarthy.
Probst slips a straight right by McCarthy.
Probst closes the distance but McCarthy moves to the side
and McCarthy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Probst fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McCarthy, pushing him back against the cage.
Probst stalling in the clinch but McCarthy improves position.
McCarthy can't find room to land a body shot as Probst controls the action.
Probst lands an elbow inside.
McCarthy looking to stall.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as McCarthy takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

That was a close round but I would say that Jeff Probst will probably get the nod.

Probst has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
