Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jiga Ji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fast Dude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fast Dude is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dude loads up on a big right hand but Ji slips the punch.
Dude fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ji manages to avoid it.
Dude swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ji fails with a takedown attempt.
Ji takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Jiga Ji has been cut.
Dude throws the left hand but Ji avoids the punch easily.
Dude throws a right hand that Ji ducks under and follows up with a left that Ji also avoids with ease.
Dude throws a looping overhand right but Ji ducks down to avoid it.
No joy there for Dude, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dude misses with a wild combination.
Ji has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dude finds it's way round the side to connect with Ji's head.
Dude looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ji bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dude's head backwards.
Dude swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

and Ji counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

and Ji counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dude thinking.
Dude tries to bum rush Ji with a series of wild strikes but Ji uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ji shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dude as he jumps to the side.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jiga Ji. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dude is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ji.

Ji tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dude manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ji is trying to work for a kimura but Dude is defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dude is looking for a sweep. Ji is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Dude manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Dude preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ji is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dude slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Ji has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dude is proving hard to escape from.

Jiga Ji overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ji thows a huge punch but Dude dodges it nicely.

Ji is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Dude flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Ji moves nicely into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ji is working to tighten is grip on Dude's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dude has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ji is really squeezing tight and eventually Dude passes out! Ji breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
