Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Aerts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Zangief (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zangief has chosen Metallica-Don't Tread on Me as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aerts lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Aerts misses with a body kick.
Zangief takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Zangief tries to score with a low kick but Aerts moves his leg out of the way.

Aerts lets loose with a powerful body kick. Zangief will feel that in the morning.
Aerts throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Aerts throws a front kick that sends Zangief stumbling back into the ropes.
Crunch! Aerts slams his shin into Zangief's torso.
Zangief sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Aerts lands a jab to the nose.

Zangief takes one to the side of the head.
Aerts keeps Zangief at a distance using the push kick.
Zangief walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Ivan Zangief has been cut.
A punch combination from Aerts misses.
Zangief takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Aerts lands a slapping body shot.
Aerts lands a nice looking body kick.

Aerts lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Zangief takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Aerts lands a nice looking body kick.
Aerts scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Zangief doesn't seem bothered though.
Aerts works over Zangief's head and body with a nice combination.

Zangief is rocked!
Donk. Aerts catches Zangief right on the button with a cross.
Zangief is still on wobbly legs! Can Aerts finish him?
Aerts cracks Zangief with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Aerts lands a nice hook to Zangief's body. Zangief takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
A good leg kick by Aerts.
Zangief takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Aerts feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Zangief sprawling to the canvas! Zangief rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Aerts finish him?!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Aerts pushes Zangief away with a front kick.
Aerts digs a good body shot into Zangief's ribs.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Aerts. Zangief shrugs it off though.
Aerts takes a swing at Zangief's ribcage but misses.
Zangief walks forward, straight into a front kick from Aerts.
Aerts throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Zangief seems to have recovered his senses.
Zangief moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Aerts lands a jab to Zangief's midsection.
Zangief avoids a kick to the body.
Aerts jabs Zangief to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Aerts fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Zangief.
Zangief's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Aerts lands a big head kick that sends Zangief tumbling to the mat! Aerts takes a step backwards and waves Zangief back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Zangief takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Aerts is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Aerts lands with a nice body punch.
Aerts explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Zangief gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Aerts gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
